There are over 150,000 Local Cable Operators (LCOs) in India serving towns and neighborhoods nationwide. These independent operators have built strong local relationships, but today they face eroding subscriber bases and shrinking ARPU as viewers shift to DTH and online streaming.
According to industry reports, traditional DTH and Cable TV subscriptions have declined with the rise of OTT platforms – services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar are steadily eating into the cable TV business. Meanwhile, consumers now expect unified "combo" packages of broadband + live TV + OTT, something only major telecom operators could traditionally provide.
Teraband Network was created by industry veterans who saw that small operators needed a lifeline. Our team brings decades of telecom, cable, and technology experience (and a deep understanding of LCO pain points) to build solutions tailored for LCOs and independent ISPs.
